THE COCONUT WIRELESS WORKS
3/13/2010
Many thanks to the gracious clients that have done such a good job spreading the word about Colorwave Imaging. Hawaii is a truly place where word of mouth counts more than anything else, and it is very gratifying to find out that new customers have discovered us as a result of a friend or colleague's suggestion. We are still offering a new customer discount of 25% on the first order to demonstrate what quality and service look and feel like in art reproduction and fine art printing.
Mahalo,
Ron

NEW PAPER ADDED: HAHNEMUHLE SUGAR CANE
6/3/09
We've been using Hahnemuhle's Bamboo paper for some time now, made from 90% bamboo fiber and 10% recycled cotton, and it has proven very popular as a lightly textured matte paper. We are now featuring another environmentally conscious paper, Hahnemuhle Sugar Cane, made from 75% bagasse, a byproduct of sugar cane processing, and 25% recycled cotton. It has a more textured matte surface, reminiscent of traditional watercolor or pastel papers, with a slightly warm base. It prints beautifully, with excellent color saturation and rich blacks.
These papers might have value on their ecological merit alone, but the fact that people would choose them without knowing what they are made from makes them even more special. They are made as responsibly as any fine art paper, yet you won't give up anything in performance or print quality. Both are also extremely archival, are scuff resistant, and do not incorporate any optical brightening agents that will fade, leaving the paper yellower over time.
We are excited to now offer these two unique papers, and would love to show you print samples to let you see for yourself how beautiful they are. Please call or email to arrange an appointment or have a sample sent to you. We look forward to hearing from you.
Aloha,
Ron

ALL SYSTEMS GO
3/4/2009
After several years of preparation and planning, and several weeks of settling in and building out, our new Kona studio is finally a done deal. Everything, including us, is finally in it's rightful place, and we are making new friends and doing our best to spread the word that the Big Island has a new resource for fine art printing. The initial response to our first postcard mailing has been very encouraging. We have begun printing and photographing original art in the new digs, and it feels great. Please feel free to contact us for a peek. We would be delighted to show off our place, our technology, and our many samples of work. Don't be a stranger!

HOME AT LAST
2/12/2009
We can finally say that we are back in Kona for good. The final preparations are being made, and we move into our permanent location at 77-6413 Kepano Place in just a few days. We will do everything possible to ensure that the doors are open, and we are up and running again in our new home by the last week of February. The postcard announcing our Grand Opening here is at the printers now, so look for something in the mail from us by the end of the month. Please drop us an email if you want to make sure that you are on the mailing list. We look forward to meeting you, if you are on the Big Island, and to many exciting projects and challenges ahead. Time to get busy!
