Without the right hardware, even the best printers will come up short. We researched fine art printers for over a year before settling on Hewlett-Packard's astounding new fine art printer, the Z3100ps GP. With this printer, we are able to print on a vast array of different media at up to 44 inches wide and 50 feet long.

Our GP model of this printer is an upgraded version, with an onboard paper profiling and printer calibration system that assure perfect color match on any media, as well as a Postscript RIP. Print resolution is of photographic quality, so the days of wet chemistry darkroom prints are numbered, given that our prints are superior in print permanence and available on a wide range of paper types and textures.

We believe that there is no substitute for the knowledge, skill and artistry of a master printmaker in producing high quality fine art prints. Even the best original image capture and the most accurately calibrated color workflow can be improved with non-destructive print optimization tailored for each individual image.

Color management provides consistent results, but there is no substitute for a well trained eye and the work of a printmaker in fine tuning the output to bring out the best in each specific work. At Colorwave Imaging, it comes with the price of each print.
